I’ve read turbo tax automatically adds the extra 1,950 deductible ( for 2024) if you are over age 65. Our turbo tax did not. Giving just the 30,000. Help! How can I change it? I don’t want to have to pay extra to ask for live help.

The credit is automatically given based on your date of birth.  If you are married filing jointly the additional amount is $1,550 per person over 65.  If only one of you is over 65, then your Standard deduction would be $30,750.  If both of you are over 65, the standard deduction would be $32,300.

If this is not the standard deduction you are seeing, then please go back to the personal info section and double check your Date of Birth entries.
