I purchased my primary home back on 8.26.2024. On the Closing Statement under de area of “Adjustments for items unpaid by the Seller” there is a line stating “County Taxes 1/1/24 to 8/26/2024 for $2,546.72. Can I as the Buyer claim this deduction in addition to the over 4k in property taxes reported on box 10 of the 1098 that I received from the lender?

Also, what other fees can I deduct stipulated on the Closing Statement for the purchased of my first and primary home. Thank you,

You can deduct that amount as additional property tax that you paid.

The only other deductible item on the closing statement besides property taxes would be any mortgage interest paid at closing.  But that would be a very rare case.
