I live in Indiana. My 43 yr old son lives with me fulltime. No job but gets SNAP benefits & medicade. I pay for everything else. Can I claim him?

Yes, if he meets all the requirements to be your Qualifying relative then you can claim him as a dependent:

  • He isn't claimed as a dependent by someone else.
  • He made less than $4,300 in 2021.
  • You provided more than half of their financial support. Please see the Worksheet for Determining Support.
