Question

Are Nebraska residents able to deduct the Nebraska School District Property Tax and the Nebraska Community College Tax we paid for 2022? If so, where do we enter it?

You will find this in the State portion of your return on the page - Any Nebraksa Credits?  Check the box for Property Owned by and Individual Tax Credit. 

 

When you get to the Report Property Tax Information page, you will need to click on the Learn More link to find the Nebraska School District Property Tax Look-up Tool link to take you to the site needed to find the numbers you need to enter.

 

You may need to leave off the last three zeros when you enter your parcel number (if your property is in Lancaster county).
