Baby born in 2021 - eligible for second stimulus ($600)?

I know that I will be able claim the third/$1,400 stimulus check for our baby born in 2021 on our 2021 tax return (filed in 2022), but what about the second/$600 stimulus check? Is that also claimable on 2021 tax return?

No. The first 2 Stimulus payments (the 2020 Recovery rebate credit) are only based on your 2020 return and 2020 dependents.

Even though most people did not get the round 2 payment until 2021, it is still a credit on the 2020 tax return and based on your information as of 12/31/2020.
