Question

Bought a house in June, filled out the homestead tax credit form, but I haven’t received anything else. How do I claim this?

I moved in early June, so I’ve been in my house almost 7 months

Then you are now eligible. If you recently filed the credit form, your payment is in process. If you submitted it before the six months, you need to refile.

I filled out the application and got a copy of it as approved in June and haven’t gotten anything since

I would refile now that you have lived in the home over six months

This is not included in your income tax return. The only thing you need to do on you income tax returns is to confirm you are an Iowa resident.

You were not eligible until you live in your home for six months.
