California mortgage interest deduction adjustments

On CA Schedule CA Adjustment form, "California Separately Reported Deduction and Misc. Itemized Deductions Statement", Part I, first question, "Mortgage Interest Adjustments, Reported on 1098" I put in the amount TT calculated on "Deductible Home Mortgage Interest Wks Interest on 1098" minus the amount in "Schedule CA, Part II, Line 8a, Col A". However, during review, TT said that was an error, saying "Misc Itemized Deduction Statement, Pt I: Mortgage Int Adj total California adjusted interest and/or points cannot be greater than the total interest/points. Please modify your adjustment". But the adjustment I put in is the difference between CA allowed (calculated by TT) minus Fed allowed (transferred in from 1040).  Is there a programming error in the review process or what?  Please help!!!

I'm having a similar issue with filing my 2019.  It is not allowing me to file my California returns electronically and is having me check the math on form CA (540), but the math looks good.  When I submit to go to the next step, it continues looping me back there, saying I need to check on them.

Same issue for 2019 return, under the Interest Paid by You... It's frustrating.. Thinking of switching to a different software next year
