Question

Can I adjust my Earned Income Tax Credit Amount somehow? EITC is for those who make under $59,899 (HOH) will receive Max $7830 (3 kids) but mine says $3322, why?

"Your Earned Income Tax Credit of $3,322 is based on your filing status as Head of Household, your three qualifying children (1, 2, and 3), and your adjusted gross income of $43,xxx. Your income is above the level to receive the maximum credit, so your credit is reduced." - How is $43k greater than $59k?

Earned income credit is calculated on a bell curve.   The fact that you are HOH and have three children does not mean you receive the maximum amount.    See the EIC table in the IRS publication 596---look on page 34 for the amount for your income with 3 kids and HOH status.
