Can I claim HSA contributions made before April 18, 2023 on 2022 tax form

or claim the contributions made between January 1, 2023 and April 18, 2023 on the 2023 taxes

HSA contributions made before April 18, 2023 can be for either tax year 2022 or 2023.

HOWEVER, the HSA custodian will assign the contribution to tax year 2023 by default UNLESS you specify tax year 2022.
