Can I claim interest on my deceased partners mortgage I have paid all year? I'm the deed holder

My partner died in 2020, he willed me our home. I have paid his mortgage all this year but it's in his name, can I use the 1098 and claim the interest?

If your name is on the deed and you paid the mortgage and lived in the home, then you can claim the mortgage interest.
