Most insurance companies have a separate wind and hail aka “Hurricane” policy with a separate deductible; can this deductible be claimed on my taxes.

No, you can't deduct any type of homeowner's insurance, unless the property is a rental or you deduct a home office for a home business.

If the policy is for a rental, you can deduct it along with the other insurance deductions in the rental section.

If you have a business and use a home office, you can include your wind policy with your homeowner's policy when you list your total indirect expenses.
