No.   Repairs and home improvements to your own house are not deductible.

No, you cannot take a deduction for repairs of your principal residence such as replacing the septic drain field with the same type you had before.

 

If you purchased a new and better A/C system for your principal residence, you can add the cost as an improvement to your adjusted basis of the home you are living in so when you sell it, you will have less gain.
