Can I combine state income tax deduction with standard deduction?

No, you can't combine your state income tax deduction with your standard deduction on your federal income tax return.

However, enter all your itemized deductions, which includes your state income tax paid in TurboTax. TurboTax will then select either the standard deduction or Itemized deductions, whichever results in a higher refund or less of an amount due, for you.
