Can I deduct my miles from home to my job site?

I am a self employed contractor. I generally work on a job site for a few weeks at a time then move on to another. Because of this I have no regular place of business. Can I deduct my miles driven between home and the job site since it is a temporary workplace? I generally drive 20 - 50 miles to get from my house to a job site.

    Yes, whenever you leave your business location, whether you work from home or maintain a business location elsewhere, you can deduct your miles as long as you’re traveling for business purposes. You will need to keep a log of your business miles driven, as well as the beginning and end of year odometer readings. 

    Plus, you will need to decide whether you will use the standard mileage deduction or track actual expenses.  See the FAQ below for more information:
