Can I deduct parking fees without deducting any other vehicle costs, such as deducting them as Business Travel expenses?

I'm self employed and I travel to my students for appointments. I only want to deduct parking I pay for when I occasionally use my car. I use usually use public transportation, and don't use my car often enough to go to the effort of deducting vehicle expenses—I don't track mileage or anything.
