Can i deduct property taxes paid on property in a living trust

i paid property taxes on father in law home. it is a living trust. can i deduct the property taxes

To claim any tax, that tax must be imposed on  you.If you are not on title to the house, then the tax is not imposed on you and you can not deduct it.
