Can I get a return if I live abroad? I have been out of the US for a solid 5 years.

I am continuously prompted on the website if I moved and lived in another state but there is no option to report I do not reside in the US at all. yet I am taxed and so do have a state refund. How do I change my residency to outside the county?

In the My Info section of the program where you enter your personal information, where asked for your resident state you need to scroll to the bottom of the dropdown and select Foreign or US Possession. Where asked if you lived in any other states answer NO. Where asked if you made money in any other states answer NO
