Can I open a Health Savings Plan for 2024 in 2025 and contribute before the 2024 tax deadline?
I was enrolled in an eligible HDHP for HSA all of 2024.
Yes, the deadline to make an HSA contribution for 2024 is April 15, 2025. Make sure to inform the HSA custodian that the contribution is for 2024, otherwise it will be recorded as a contribution for 2025.
