I assume that you are referring the stimulus payment in 2021.

 

The third stimulus ($1,400 per person) was paid out starting March 2021. If you did not receive and did not file a 2021 tax return, you have to file a tax return for 2021 to claim that stimulus payment as the Recovery Rebate creit.
