Can I take the solar tax credit, if the panels are not yet activated?

My solar panels were installed in 2022.  They have not been activated as of March 30, 2023.

No, you can't claim the Solar Energy Tax Credit. It must be placed in service during the year, meaning they must be installed and producing electricity.
