Can i use actual milage for my vehicle when TurboTax says i used vehicle expense before when i did, why is that?

If a taxpayer does not use the standard mileage method in the first year, and instead choose to take the actual expense deduction, the method is not available for any subsequent year. If you use standard mileage, a change to the actual cost method can be made any year. You will have to review your prior year returns to determine what method has been used in the past.
