head of household, claiming grandson, lives with me, i provide for his care. His mom drops him off to daycare, I paid the provider cash by way of her. The daycare made the receipt for tax purposes out to the mother. Can I use this receipt on my taxes even though my name is not on it? No irs support for this, she is not claiming him?

Yes, you can claim those daycare expenses, as long as you claim your grandson as your dependent and you paid the provider (even those his mom dropped off the payments).

Yes I paid provider but she must not have told him they were from me. I will submit my taxes with them then.
