Can I use the High Deductible Health Plan Contributions deduction for Georgia if I paid marketplace premiums (with no tax credit) post-tax?

1. Is the health plan really an HDHP under the Tax Code (Section 223)? You might want to call the insurance company if you are not sure (you can't go just by the amounts of the deductibles themselves - there's more to an HDHP plan than just the deductibles).

2. If you are sure that it is an HDHP, and you are sure that you paid the premiums with post tax dollars, then yes, you can use the High Deductible Health Plan Contributions deduction for Georgia; indeed, it is exactly for taxpayers like you that this credit was made.
