Hi! I am a foreign national and started graduate school in the US in Summer 2013 on a F1 visa. Days present in the US: 141 (2013); 300 (2014); 275 (2015); 280 (2016); 319 (2017); 284 (2018). I had a scholarship throughout, sometimes with teaching obligations, sometimes without.

January-May 2018, I received my scholarship without teaching and expect to receive a form 1042-S. January-May 2018, I also had a pre-completion OPT and worked an additional job for which I have a W2. Since June 2018, I am on a H1B with a new job, for which I have a W2. I also have some 1099-B information from a Betterment account.

My questions:
- Can I use TurboTax to file for 2018?
- Which edition should I use?

Thanks a lot!

Yes, you can use TurboTax to file your 2018 taxes.  Since you have stayed within the US for more than 183 days, you are a resident for tax purposes.

With the 1099-B, you will need to use TurboTax Premier.

Great, thanks so much for the immediate response! Anything else I will have to pay attention to as a non-citizen or do I just go ahead and do everything as a citizen would? (I.e., I believe that previously I could not use the standardized deduction.)
