Can my boyfriend claim the childcare expenses he paid me?

Boyfriend and I (not children's mother,) live together and he helped cover the travel expenses for me to pick up the kids from school. He is the custodial parent, (mother lives separately and gets them every other weekend,) can he claim the gas/bus fare/feeding them as childcare expenses?

Wait----you all live together and you are the child's mother?   No, your BF cannot claim the childcare expense if the child's own mother is taking care of the child.  And no, there is no deduction for driving the child to or from school.

No not the mother, she isn't the primary either, the custody agreement is she gets them every other weekend. He works weekdays and I work nights, so I'm the only available to look after them once they're out of school, that's why I'm curious. I don't want us to miss a credit or get something wrong.

Also, I don't drive, we take public transport.

Still not clear who everybody is-----we cannot tell with all the references to "she", "he", "I" , "we",  etc.

We cannot tell who lives with who....who is being paid to take care of the child, who the child's parents are, who is being claimed as a dependent, etc.     Please try to explain clearly.
