Question

Can Personal entry included Country Code instead of US States or Foreign Country (FC). How to do it right initially or change in 760Y?

Wife moved in to Virginia from Asia. Completed all filing especially Peresonal data of moving to VA state in Sep 2023 and had to select FC. When running final review, Turbo said error and offerred to change to international Country Code (TH). Why it was not offered sooner and why I can't edit on Form 760Y? If I change from FC to TH will not accept (still Red and not Blue).

From your post it seems you are working in a desktop product and in "Forms Mode."  On the VA Info Worksheet in Part II, in the Part-year resident area, in your (taxpayer column), assuming you lived in VA, all year enter 1/1/2023 in the date moved in box and either no entry or VA in the state box.

In your spouse's column verify/enter the September move date, and select Foreign (FC) from the dropdown.

On the 760PY INC  for 2a select Thailand (TH) and for 1a assuming you lived in VA all year select Virginia (VA).
