Question

Can someone help me understand why I have only $4000 tax credit when claiming 3 kids as dependents? Any suggestions what could have done wrong?

We cannot see your tax return.  How old are the children?  You lose the Child Tax Credit when a child turns 17---did one of them turn 17 in 2023?   Or--is one a newborn?  If one of them is a newborn that was born in 2023 you have to say they lived with you the whole year.
