Can we deduct our time? Started a coaching/consulting business in May 2018. The first 10 clients we took care of pro bono. Can we write off that time?
We charge per hour, and per product produced.
Unfortunately, no. Your own time and labor are never deductible. If you gave away any products for free, you can include them as a promotional expense.
