Can you claim a credit for providing daycare for a grandchild so the child's parents can work?

No---you cannot claim a credit for babysitting.   If the parents paid you ----they might want to claim the childcare credit on their own tax return.  And then you would have to enter the amount they paid you on your own tax return.   You do not get a tax credit for being the babysitter---even if you did it for free.
