can you help me get the EIC?

My son was 17 until dec but I'm being denied the EIC. I need help.

    You lose the child tax credit when the child turns 17----not earned income credit.  Those are two different refundable child-related credits.

     

     If your child is older than 16 at the end of 2024, you do not get the CTC.  But you may still get the non-refundable $500 credit for other dependents instead.
