Whatever you paid in 2019 for car registration that is based on the value of the car, you may deduct, if you itemized deductions.  Here is link that discusses the vehicle registration topic.

Addtionally, if you paid sales taxes on the new vehicle in 2019 you may be able to deduct that as part of itemized deductions. TurboTax will help you determine that.  You will make those entries in the "Deductions & Credits" tab.

1.  Click Federal in the left hand menu

2.  Click "Deductions & Credits" tab at the top of the page

3.  Scroll down to "Cars and things you own"

4.  Click "Show more"

5.  Find "Car registration"

6.  Click "Start"

Once done there go back to "Deductions & Credits"

1.  Scroll down to "Estimates and other taxes paid"

2.  Click "Show more"

3.  Find "Sales tax"

4.  Cliick "Start"
