Change new york state deductions from default standard deductions to itemized

My federal tax was itemized. I'm filing for IT-203 Nonresident for New York State, but I would like to compare the deductions using itemized versus standard. Where and how can I change the deductions? Right now it is default at standard deductions. Thanks.

The program will automatically choose the one that results in the largest tax savings. I was not able to find a way to choose to take the standard deduction other than overriding and that did not recalculate appropriately.  I do not work for TT... just trying to help.

NYS 2018 Standard deductions:
(1)Single (and can be claimed as a dependent on another taxpayer's federal return)$3,100
(1)Single (and cannot be claimed as a dependent on another taxpayer's federal return)$8,000
(2)Married filing joint return$16,050
(3)Married filing separate return$8,000
(4)Head of household (with qualifying person)$11,200
(5)Qualifying widow(er)$16,050

If you want to see the itemized deduction amount.  Go to top of screen in windows, select FORMS from the pull down and on the left screen scroll down to NY and IT-203 page 1-2 line 33  or IT-201 line 34 is your itemized deduction.  The details are on IT-196

Thank you maglib! I have calculated itemized deduction on my own and the number is much high. So wondering why TT doesn't even allow me to pick itemized for state tax return. I had the itemized deduction for NYS last year.
