Charitable contributions allowed under CARES Act is not being entered by TT
Using TurboTax Premier desktop for 2024 tax return, I have entered charitable donations using EasyStep. The donations appear in Schedule A but do not appear anywhere else that I can see.
Schedule A shows the itemized deductions as being less than the standardized deduction and apparently disallows the charitable donation amount. TT chose the standard deduction as best option but is not showing the above the line allowed donation amount. It would allow me to choose itemized deductions on Schedule A line 18 but would lose the standard deduction. Why?
