My ex wife claimed half the year how should I file for the other half

    The Child Tax Credit is an all or nothing credit.  Only one parent gets to claim the child for the year and claim the credit.  If your ex-wife claimed your kids for 2021, but you were supposed to, you would need to print and mail your return.  The IRS will then use the Tie Breaker Rules to determine who gets to claim the kids.
