I was seeing that we get our child tax credit payments in July but my question is I remember when we got the other stimulus check and the irs sent that to the Santa Barbara tax products group account and routing number instead of my bank account number so my question is will we have to go through that again did turbo tax give the irs the right information this time ?

A13. The IRS will provide on IRS.gov a Child Tax Credit Update Portal (CTC UP), which will allow you update information with the IRS, including your bank account information.

CTC UP will be available on IRS.gov starting in June, and initially will only allow you to elect not to receive advance Child Tax Credit payments. The IRS will add features to CTC UP later this year, which are described in QF-1, below.

The IRS will be providing a portal where you can enter banking information for those monthly child tx credit payments. It is not ready yet but should be ready very soon.

I know that much I’m just curious about If turbo tax sent them the correct routing and account numbers this time cause im December when we got the 600 stimulus check they sent it to the Santa Barbara bank if you got your fees taken out of your taxes I’m just hoping it doesn’t mess up again cause that’s money that I could use lol

The routing/account number the IRS has is the last place they were told to send the money and if that was to the processing bank then that is where they will continue to send future payments until they are alerted otherwise.
