Child tax credit was only $500 for me this year. I know the amount changed back in 2022 but why did I not get the full $1500? Is it because my income went up?

How old is your child? You do not get the CTC for a child older than 16 at the end of 2022. If your child is over 16 then you get the $500 credit for other dependents instead.
