Children's SSN

My son's federal return was rejected for the reason listed below.  I can not find any mistakes in his return.  No other family member has claimed his children.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

SEIC-F1040-506-02 - Each 'QualifyingChildSSN' that has a value on Schedule EIC (Form 1040), must not be equal to another Qualifying Child SSN on another accepted return for the same tax year.

Someone else may have used his SSN on their return, possibly by accident (i.e. entered incorrectly).

Unfortunately, you will have to file your return by mail. See How do I print and mail my return in TurboTax Online?

Once a person's SSN (your children's in this case) is used on an e-filed return, the IRS will not allow it to be used on another e-filed return.

You can file by mail and your return & refund should be processed.  Later in the year, the IRS will send you and whoever else claimed the children separate letters asking for proof of who was entitled to claim your children on their tax return. They will provide instructions on what you need to send as proof.
