My daughter just bought her first house. Her closing statement lists Property Taxes (for the 2 months she owned the house in 2023) and also has a separate line item for County Taxes for the same 2 month period. I know that the property taxes can be included. My question is whether the county taxes can be added in as well or if they are not a proper deduction. Appreciate any clarification (I haven't bought a house in 25 years...).
County taxes are also counted as property taxes.
