TurboTax instructions for 2023 say to enter 2023 Qualifying Donation Amount for DR 1317, line 4.
There is no line for on the current form.
1. Date the contribution was received

2. Qualifying contribution amount
3. Credit allowed. Multiply the amount on line 2 by 50%.
Is TurboTax looking for the amount on line 2 so it can multiply the amount by 50%.
I entered line 2 amount and it seems to be the correct thing to do because my refund
is about half the amount.  TurboTax does not show form DR 1317 in its forms.  Is line 2
what you are looking for?

No, we are indeed looking for line 3, not line 2, on the DR 1317. You should use the amount on line 3 of the 2023 DR 1317. Line 4 was correct for years 2022 and before. I will work on getting this corrected.

P.S. "TurboTax does not show form DR 1317 in its forms" DR 1317 is not generated by TurboTax; instead, it is sent to the taxpayer by the charity. As the forms instructions say, "This form is to be completed by the donee organization, then given to the donor"
