Could I deduct medical expenses paid by insurance $11,576+

No, you did not pay for the medical expenses the insurance company paid for them.  

 

You can only take a deduction for medical expenses that you paid for yourself, and only if you Itemize your deductions.

 

To Itemize you need to have Mortgage Interest, Property Taxes Paid, State Income Tax Paid, Medical Expenses, you paid, that exceed 7.5% of your income, and Charitable Contributions when all added together exceed the Standard Deduction.

 

Your Standard Deduction for 2019 is $12,200, since you are filing as Single.
