Question

County sent tax bill days before Xmas, giving us until 1/15/23 to pay. If pd in ‘23, can I still claim in ‘22 tax yr, or claim both 22 & 23 property taxes in ‘23 tax yr?

Can I claim ‘22 property taxes in ‘22 tax return if paid in ‘23?  If not, can I claim both ‘22 & ‘23 prop tax in ‘23 return?

You can deduct the property taxes paid in the year they were paid.  So if you paid 2022 and 2023 tax in 2023 those payment can be entered on your 2023 tax return next year.

If you paid the bill in 2022 you can use it on your 2022 tax return.  If you paid it in 2023 it goes on your 2023 return.  It is not based on when you received the bill, it is about when you PAID the bill.
