Do I enter property taxes under the 1098 section if my home is being used as a home office?

As you work through the SCH C section of the program, namely the section of that about a home office for your SCH C business, you are asked for 1098 information. Read the small print on that screen because it matters. What that small print says, depends on options you select. Basically, if you elect to have the program do the math/splits for you, then you will not enter anything on that 1098 anywhere else on the return. The program will apportion the mortgage interest and property taxes between SCH C for the home office percentage, and SCH A for the rest.  You will have to manually apportion the property insurance for the SCH C, as what you pay for property insurance is not deductible on SCH A, and never has been.
