If your employer has contributed to an HSA on your behalf, you've contributed to an HSA.  Your W-2 should show the amount with code W in box 12 of your W-2 and entering this into box 12 of TurboTax's W-2 form will cause TurboTax to include this contribution on Form 8889.  You'll need to complete the HSA section of TurboTax to establish that you were eligible for an HSA contribution, otherwise TurboTax will treat it as an excess contribution subject to penalty.
