Do I qualify for child tax still?

Hello, my name is Amanda. I had filled and got my tax return back in April. The expert I talked to said I qualify for child tax at the time. But I still haven't received any child tax credit. Would I be able to qualify and if so, how do I apply for it?

Hi Amanda,

The Child Tax Credit is part of your tax return, and would have been included there when you filed (either offsetting tax owed or increasing your refund). It is not a separate payment, it only is applicable to your tax return. Assuming it was included on the original return as you discussed with the Expert you worked with, it has already been credited to you through your refund.
