Do I qualify for earned income credit since I'm self-employed?

Back a number of years ago when I was an employee I used to get the earned income refund and also the child credit refund. Once I quit and went self-employed my accountant said I don't qualify for that anymore. I was filing my business under my SS number. Now last year I started another business that has an EIN number, but I'm still self-employed. TurboTax is showing I'm going to get a Federal Refund and I want to make sure that is actually true.

Yes, your self-employed income is earned income and qualifies you for the Earned Income Credit.

You must have a profit (not just income) from Self-employment.
