Does cost of the Teen Challenge drug recovery program (a Christian based program) qualify as a medical expense? Wouldn't it be considered "therapeutic treatment"?

My daughter spent 9 months in the "Teen Challenge" drug addiction program.  Teen Challenge is a Christian based, mutual  support, positive roll model and teaching program that specializes in drug addictions.  I am wondering if she can deduct the cost of this program as medical expenses, since it was basically in-patient therapeutic care.

Yes, according to the IRS:

"You can include in medical expenses amounts you pay for an inpatient's treatment at a therapeutic center for drug addiction. This includes meals and lodging at the center during treatment."
