Does Michigan consider all of SSDI back pay from previous years as 2024 resources for the Homestead Property Tax Credit?

My back pay was from 2021-2023. If it is not all counted as 2024 resources, I will qualify for the Homestead Property Tax Credit for 2024.

    Michigan does not allow an adjustment for SSDI back payments received in 2024 for previous years. See Total Household Resources (THR).

     

    You may want to call them at Customer Contact: 517-353-4486 to see if you could qualify for an exception.
