Donated homemade CHRISTmas gifts to a school. How can I or should I list them?

I donated homemade Christmas gifts to an elementary school. not sure how to list them as far as description of of the gifts. They were homemade scarves and caps. Along with stuffed pillows and stuffed animals

I would use It's Deductable and list the school as the recipient.  You can then add your gift by describing it and assigning a value.  However, I will also say that this is the first year in 30 years that we've not been able to claim our charitable contributions as a result in the raise in the standard deduction, so the gifts to the school may be a mute point this year.

The most that can be deducted is the costs of the materials that you purchased.  Your labor value is not deductible since it was not previously taxed.
