Double Taxation Germany

Hello,

 

i am on an L1 Visa in the US for 18 months now. I do have a rental property in germany.

I understand that i have to report also the german rental income and pay taxes in the US.

 

however since German Tax return is only due by the end of the year, i cannot claim a tax credit for the taxes i have paid in germany since that will only be available next year to me.

 

Can i claim a Tax Credit in Germany when I do my German tax return?

    Although we can only comment on US tax matters, you may find the answer here in the Us/Germany tax treaty.
