    To qualify for the energy credit for new windows, you must meet the following requirements:

     

    • home must be located in the United States
    • be an existing home that you improved or added onto
    • be owned or used by you as your primary residence
    • the windows are eligible for the credit

    You can view the Energy Star webpage for residential windows, doors, and skylights.
